Last week I lost my Stepfather, Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease. Not only of the mind but the body as well. He was a kind and gentle human. His insight of the Natural World, his way of calmly and clearly teaching those who attended his lectures, his wonderful books on the flora and fauna of our countryside and the thousands of photographs of our British wildlife both published and not will be missed. A true old school Naturalist. But most of all a friend and a father. I will miss you. X
